We're a senior transition team built for the way people actually live in this part of Denver. Our territory runs from Cherry Creek high-rises and Capitol Hill condos to single-family homes in Park Hill and Montclair, and each of those calls for a different plan.

While we are experts at running traditional in-person estate sales, in many homes in our territory, a traditional in-home estate sale is a logistical headache at best and not allowed at worst. That's the reason we have options.

Jennifer opened Park Hill and Commerce City in February 2025, then purchased the East Denver territory six months later, more than doubling the footprint.

Caring Transitions has other locally owned locations across greater Denver and Colorado. If your address falls outside our area, we'll connect you with the right local owner. The other owners send families to us when an address lands in our zip codes, so nobody gets bounced around.

East Denver homes are varied, with many condos, apartments, town houses and of course, single family homes. In high rises, a relocation requires reserving a freight elevator, coordinating around HOA regulations, and a new living space that is half the size of the old home. Jennifer is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, and her background in interior architecture helps ensure your new space feels like home right away.

Downsizing

Letting go of a lifetime of belongings can be stressful and emotional, especially when many more items can’t be moved to a much smaller space. We understand that your possessions hold powerful memories. That’s why we take the time to help you decide what should go to family members, what has value to sell, and what can be donated. We help make sure your treasured possessions move on to bring new memories to new owners.

In Park Hill and Commerce City, our clients are often downsizing from a four-bedroom home, with forty or more years of collections and furniture, to a one-bedroom apartment in Central Park or other neighboring senior community. There are more decisions to be made than boxes to pack. As Jennifer puts it: "If an item still has value and we're not going to sell it, we do our best to donate it so that it can be reused by someone else."

Estate Sale & CT Bids

An estate sale can run in person or through CT Bids, our proprietary online auction platform. Bidding starts at $1, and we typically sell 95 percent or more of what we list. A three-day sale of primitive antique furniture, farm tools, and a 1955 Jeep Willys brought in over $24,000. One client's three storage units became three consecutive auctions that cleared more than $60,000.

Do you serve both East Denver and Park Hill/Commerce City?

Yes. Both run as one operation under the Caring Transitions of East Denver name, with the same owner, the same crew, and the same warehouse.

My parent's home is in your territory but I live out of state. Can you run the project without me there?

Often, yes. A lot of our work starts with an adult child flying in for a weekend, walking the home with us once, and going home. We document what we find, keep you updated, and coordinate the sale, the move, and the cleanout from here.

Jennifer's philosophy for that first meeting: “My goal is always to walk away from a first meeting with our client feeling like they have an advocate, not just a solution. We walk alongside and help them through their transition in a kind, helpful and efficient way.”

I'm in a high-rise or HOA-governed building, does the warehouse model still work for me? 

Yes, this is actually one of the most common situations in our territory. Because we move sale items to our warehouse, HOA rules and building access restrictions aren't a barrier.
